What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the site you visit stores in your browser and reads again on later visits. They make the pages work, remember the choices you made and, in some cases, measure traffic or select advertisements.

02

Technical cookies of the site

The site sets a session cookie, which identifies the connection and keeps you signed in until the browser is closed, and a cookie that stores the language you chose for twelve months. If you tick "remember me" you also receive an automatic sign-in cookie, valid for twelve months, containing your identifier and a random code: only its hash is kept in the database and the cookie cannot be read by JavaScript. All of them are needed to provide the service requested and do not require consent.

03

Analytics cookies

Visit statistics are collected with Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to tell devices apart and measure sessions. The results are consulted in aggregate form, to see which pages are viewed most.

04

Advertising cookies

Advertising space is managed by Google AdSense, which may set cookies to select the ads, limit how often they are repeated and measure their performance, including on the basis of interests inferred from browsing.

05

Payment, video call and external library cookies

When you start a PayPal payment or a video call from a booth, the service concerned sets its own cookies, needed to run and secure the operation. Graphic libraries and fonts are downloaded from the jsDelivr, Cloudflare and Google Fonts networks, which receive the browser request. These tools are managed directly by the respective providers, under their own notices.

06

Consent

Technical cookies are set without consent because they are necessary for the service. Analytics and advertising cookies instead require the user's consent, which may be refused and withdrawn at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

07

Managing cookies in the browser

Every browser lets you review the cookies stored, delete them and block third party ones from its settings. Blocking technical cookies makes the private area and every feature requiring sign-in unusable. Personalised Google ads can be turned off from the ad settings of your Google account.
